Our family welcomed a new addition recently!!
Introducing Malachi Roman!
Born at home on 8/23/17
This sweet guy made his appearance back in July and I was blessed to support his parents as their Doula! Enjoy these precious photos!
Adorable kids + beautiful scenery + gorgeous pregnant mama + lots of love and laughs = the recipe for a perfect photo session! Enjoy!
And just like that, I have initials behind my name. :D I am now Bethany Payne, CD (Certified Doula) ♥
This has been a long time coming and I'm having a hard time believing I'm actually done! Having been homeschooled (and was actually overseas when my diploma arrived in the mail, lol) and then choosing not to go to college, this is the biggest academic achievement for me so far! Years of study and learning and experience has brought me to this point and I look forward to learning for years to come!
This certification would absolutely NOT be possible without the support and encouragement of so many and I want to take this opportunity to thank a few.
First and foremost, I'm so thankful to Jesus for calling me to and enabling me for this important work of supporting families in their births. Without His constant presence in my life I would not be able to be a force for joy and peace in the lives I encounter as a Doula.
Second, a huge thank you to Caleb, my wonderful husband, who has spent countless hours supporting and encouraging me as I support and encourage others. He is always the first person I call during a difficult birth, the person I rely on most to bring me peace during chaos, the best daddy to Corey while I'm gone at births or meetings, the first person to encourage me to pursue this dream of becoming a Doula, and THE best partner in life that I could possibly imagine.
Third, thank you to my beautiful sister-in-law, Nikki. Yours was the first birth I ever attended, almost four years ago when Sophia was born. You trusted me enough to invite me in to that intimate experience, even though I really had no idea what I was doing! ;) I will be forever grateful for your willingness to have me there and I am forever changed by witnessing the births of all three of your children. <3
And lastly, thank you to ALL of my amazing Doula clients over the past few years - your faith in me gave me confidence to be the best Doula I could be for each of you. Each and every one of your births taught me so much. I am eternally grateful for you, your families, and the friendships we have developed. ♥
Thank you, thank you, thank you, everyone!!! I'm so excited to see where God will lead me on this Doula journey!
This little man was so fun to photograph! You can tell that this family has a lot of love for each other. Enjoy!
I love this family so much and had a blast photographing them on a lovely grey spring afternoon. Enjoy these sweet smiles.
These beautiful photos capture a peace and joy that is beyond words. My gorgeous sister-in-law will soon give birth to her sweet son Daniel. And no matter the outcome - be it life or death - It Is Well With her Soul.
I just love being a Doula! I have the amazing opportunity to meet so many wonderful new people. This family was no exception. <3 This sweet girl made a beautiful entrance into this world after many years of faithful prayer. I was blessed to be a part of this precious time. Enjoy these photos!
Sweet new smiles!
I had such a wonderful time with these two (three!) on this beautiful January day. And I'm so excited to help them welcome their new little one very soon! Enjoy the love!
LOVE these two!
